Ken Larsen:  Candidates who are running for 2020 Commissioners Race in Orange County, NC

In 2020 voters get to elect three people for Orange County Commissioner.  (details)  (sample ballot for Chapel Hill)  (intended ballot of Ken Larsen)

Because 2020 is a Presidential election year, there will be both a primary and main voting period.  The primary will be held on March 3rd with early voting beginning on February 13th.  That's very early by historical standards.  In view of the fact that Orange County is a Democratic stronghold, the primary will be the key election.  Many people do not know that!

At-Large seat

Amy Fowler

Amy strongly deserves your vote!  She was on the Chapel Hill-Carrboro School Board and such experience and values are what the Board of Orange County Commissioners desperately needs.

MarkMarcoplos Mark Marcopolis

Mark is running for re-election.  He does not deserve to be re-elected.  During his time on the board he voted for DOLRT (light-rail) which lost $ 159M of taxpayer money.  I would not trust Mark to balance a checkbook.

Mark was sworn in on December 5, 2016.  He took him only 5 hours and 11 minutes to violate his oath of office when he cast a vote in favor of DOLRT and against the residents of Orange County (his constituents).

Jean was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Carrboro-Chapel Hill School Board and did an outstanding job in that role.  She strongly deserves your vote for Orange County Commissioner.

PennyRich Penny Rich

Penny Rich is running for re-election. She does not deserve to be re-elected.  During her time on the board she voted for DOLRT (light-rail) which lost $ 159M of taxpayer money.  If DOLRT had been approved, it would have served the people in Durham County ... not Orange County.

Mark Dorosin

Mark Dorosin is running for re-election. He does not deserve to be re-elected.  During his time on the board he voted for DOLRT (light-rail) which lost $ 159M of taxpayer money.  If DOLRT had been approved, it would have served the people in Durham County ... not Orange County.
