Ken's comments about Dr. Watkins

I first heard about Dr. Watkins on February 4, 2018.  Just prior to the Superbowl, I read a listserv post made by fellow political activist Bonnie Hauser.  She simply asked if anyone knew anything about Dr. Watkins.  That piqued my curiosity, and I immediately did a Google search on him.  That led to the discovery of his Facebook site and a video of his candidacy declaration speech.

I was so mesmerized by Dr. Watkins' speech that I missed the first 18 minutes of the Super Bowl.  LOL

It may be premature, but Dr. Watkins' speech hooked me.  I will be voting for him on May 8th.  His opponent is Rep. David Price.  Rep. Price has served us well for 30 years, but he'll turn 78 in August.  It's time to hand the baton over to youth and exuberance.  [Dr. Watkins was born on February 19, 1985.  Today is his 33rd birthday.]  I urge all of my friends to vote for Dr. Watkins.

Dr. Watkins is a microbiologist.  Read his bio on his campaign website.

Great oratory skills + Scientist + Youth = Possible future president?

As I learn more, I'll add to this web page.

Why you should view Dr. Watkins's candidacy declaration speech

If you're running for public office, or speaking publicly as an activist, good speaking skills are huge.  If you listen to Dr. Watkins' MLK-like speech, it is clear that Dr. Watkins has off-the-chart speaking skills.  To me, he's MLK version 2.0.

If you want to improve to improve your speaking skills, study the speeches of great orators ... like Dr. Martin Luther King.
