Hurricane Florence is expected to strike North Carolina on Friday September 14, 2018. I created this web page to document my preparation for it.
I live Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I'm 135 miles inland. Heavy rain and winds are expected. [September 20th update: 9 inches of rain fell, but the wind was very light.]

Preparation: I use one of my ladders and some rope to secure my trash bins. |

I used short bungee cords to fasten the lid of my yard waste bin and used rope to tie it to my fence. |
