Ken Larsen's website - Neighborhood stuff (Briarcliff subdivision in Chapel Hill, NC)
I live in the Briarcliff subdivision on the eastern side of Chapel Hill. Most of the homes were built during 1968-1972. By my count, there are 429 houses.
It's a fantastic neighborhood. It's close to shopping, yet segregated [for the most part] from traffic. There's no HOA. There's a pool you can join at a separate cost. We have a listserv.
On the downside, there are some low lying areas that are in a flood zone. These are close to Booker and Bolin Creeks. The flooding keeps getting worse due to more and more upstream development.
