Ken Larsen's web site - Balanced Thinking is Needed
One problem the world has today is that people like simple solutions to problems, but most problems are complex, and simple solutions are rare. In democratic countries most voters prefer glib politicians who offer simple solutions. That can have dire consequences. Hitler's appeal was that he was glib and blamed everything on the Jewish people. That led to the Holocaust and World War II.
I prefer to vote for politicians who treat decisions with "balanced thinking" ... one who carefully considers all sides of each issue and weighs the pluses and minuses of each possible solution. My ideal candidate would be a scientist or a judge ... not a lifetime politician, a lawyer, or someone beholden to well financed lobbyists.
