Ken Larsen's Backgammon - STRIPNOT tactic

Avoid stripping points.  Stripped points will soon become blots.

In the position shown, anything but 21/13 would be an error of at least 0.060.  23/21 8/2 looks plausible, but that leaves red with a huge timing problem.  His anchor and midpoints will soon have to be dismantled.

Prerequisites:

  1. The game has a long way to go.
  2. Your opponent has checker(s) in your home board.
  3. You have checkers further back than the point you're thinking about stripping.
