Ken Larsen's web site - My thoughts on artificial intelligence (AI)

I see a future where man's survival will depend more and more on artificial intelligence.  Natural/human intelligence is becoming more and more unreliable ... as evidenced by the U.S. presidential election of 2016.  People are prone to making horrid decisions due to information overload, false information, influence of special interest groups, personal biases, cognitive issues, and emotions.  To cope, computers should be used to assist with decision making.

In my opinion, Kepner-Tregoe (K-T) decision analysis is the best methodology for making decisions.  [details]  I learned about it back around 1979 when I took a week long class on it at IBM.  To this day, I regard it as the best class I have ever taken.

K-T should be the kernel of any artificial intelligence program.

As I ruminate more on the subject of AI, I will add to this web page.  I began it on October 31, 2017.  On October 30th the current issue of MIT Technology Review (my alumni magazine) arrived in my mail box.  The whole issue was devoted to AI.
